Rosneath woodlands is an area of managed woods on the Rosneath Peninsula. The trees are mainly commercially planted spruce and firs, although there are a few hardwoods. The Peninsula trail travels through the woodlands and is fairly wide and exposed, but there are a number of smaller paths that fork off the main trail where the trees are planted very closely and it is dark and wet. There is very little vegetation on the woodland floor. It is mainly covered in pine needles and moss. Occasionally though there are little pockets of light where the trees thin.
