I’m pleased to announce the following image from the Unintended Monument project was commended in the urban section of the Scottish Landscape Photographer of the Year competition. I’m really pleased they selected this image as it is part of a project I spent quite a large amount of time working on during last year. This image was taken very early on in the project while the chimneys were there as you can see. I like the juxtaposition of the curve of the land in the foreground and the clean straight lines of the power station. Also the guy walking his dog in the bottom left corner gives a good feel of scale. They were really large chimneys and you could see them for miles around.
